The Initiative for Race Research and Justice (RRJ) at Vanderbilt University is seeking to fill the position of Post-Baccalaureate Scholar Program Coordinator to undertake both administrative and research support in advancing the initiative, research, and related projects. RRJ is seeking to fill the position of Post-Baccalaureate Scholar Program Coordinator to undertake both administrative and research support in advancing the initiative, research, and related projects, beginning fall 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

RRJ is searching for a scholar who has earned an undergraduate and/or graduate degree from an accredited institution of higher education. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day operations within RRJ, project leadership and management, developing sustainable community/school partnerships, and basic data

collection/analyses and research meetings. The candidate will be responsible for several tasks, including but not limited to:

• Office, administrative, and project management;

• Participating in regular meetings with the initiative’s research and development team and directors;

• Building and implementing research skills;

• Leading partnerships and opportunities with and between faculty, students, and community members;

• Assisting with writing grants, research proposals, and related reports;

• Leading internal and external communication efforts;

• Planning, leading, advertising, marketing, and supporting the development of events, programs, professional learning sessions, and other related activities

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary

• Strong skills, interest and/or developing expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods

• Available for full-time work on-site at the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, TN

• Exceptional organizational, management, and leadership skills and attention to detail

• Outstanding communication and writing acumen;

• Interest in and commitment to issues of equity and racial justice
