In general, administrative positions require computer skills with strong knowledge of and prior experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Positions typically require calendaring, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, reimbursement requests, transcription, campus errands, mail distribution, as well as general administrative functions, as needed. Most administrative Assistant positions require an Associate's degree with two years in a similar professional role OR five years of previous professional experience. Each individual position has the ability to require it's own combination of education and/or experience.
