VTS Engineering Administrative Assistant (Job Number: 1900363)
The temporary Administrative Assistant is part of the School of Engineering Institute for Software Integrated Systems at Vanderbilt University and is a key contributor responsible for assisting the CPS VO team with project tasks that include creating, curating, editing, and archiving Federal Government Networking and Information Technology Research & Development (NITRD) technical and programmatic content onto the CPS platform.
Duties and Responsibilities
The temporary AdministrativeAssistant will assist the CPS VO team with project tasks that include creating,curating, editing, and archiving Federal Government Networking and InformationTechnology Research Development (NITRD) technical and programmatic content ontothe CPS platform, including:
Major assistance with timely and consistentlycreating and posting research project pages for numerous Federal Governmentsponsored principal investigator research projects such as those for, but notlimited to, the Secure and Trustworthy CyberSpace and Cyber Physical SystemsNITRD programs. Tagging research projects and related materials with accuratemeta-data to support the portal search capabilities. Editing project pages asnew information is received.
Major assistance with curating, editing, andarchiving data and content generated from Federal Government sponsoredITR&D Principal Investigator meetings, workshops, and conferences that arecoordinated by the CPS VO team into diverse databases and websites. Exemplarsof content to be curated, edited, and archived include Excel spreadsheets ofmailing/registration/attendance lists, project poster lists, projectdemonstration lists, etc.
As time permits, support publicizing and postingof community calls, announcements, solicitations, and event information on theCPS VO platform.
(Customized training on the CPS VO platform will be provided to the successful candidate).
- The temporary Administrative Assistant will alsoperform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, archiving, anddestruction of departmental project folders and personnel files. Creates newproject folders as necessary. Completes other administrative tasks as requiredin support of the ISIS administrative team.
Profile of an Ideal Candidate
Website development skills including a basicunderstanding of HTML, although not required, are desirable.
Proficient in office software tools (e.g.,Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other software tools for communication,analysis, and office operations.
