Senior Associate Athletics Director for Fan Experience & Sales (Job Number: 2001053)
The Senior Associate Athletics Director for Fan Experience & Sales is responsible for the direct supervision of related units such as ticketing, marketing, in-game experience, group sales, and video production. This position will provide leadership and facilitate all aspects of the fan experience at Vanderbilt, while also increasing sales across various platforms.
Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 16 varsity teams (6 men's teams and 10 women's teams, a total of 351 student athletes), 14 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create and implement strategy that enhances the gameday experience across all Vanderbilt Athletics programs
Coordinate and execute a comprehensive plan that includes ticketing, marketing, fan engagement/hospitality, video production, etc.
Ensure grassroots efforts are supported by a digital marketing plan that supports and enhances the fan experience
Serve as the department liaison to various campus and external partners to achieve the goal of increasing experience and engagement
Work with SEC Network production team to identify and implement initiatives and programming that would increase Vanderbilt’s brand and visibility on the network platform
Serve as the day-to-day contact for Vanderbilt’s multimedia rights partner (Learfield IMG)
Cultivate a positive, high-performing team culture that emphasizes a first-class fan experience for all stakeholders
Plans and executes special projects that aligns with engagement initiatives as assigned by the Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs & Revenue Generation
Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs & Revenue Generation
This position does have direct supervisory responsibility and reports administratively and functionally to the Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs/Revenue Generation.
A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Previous experience in an external affairs unit in collegiate sports is necessary.
Prior experience with staff supervision and leading a team is necessary.
Organized, detail oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is necessary.
Ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays is necessary.
