Vanderbilt University Quality Control in Nashville, Tennessee
This position reports directly to the Head Football Coach, but also works in conjunction with Assistant Coaches and Offensive/Defensive Coordinators in various aspects of football game-planning, including scouting reports, game film analysis, analytics, and player personnel advising in order to ensure that the program is well prepared and informed to compete at the highest level. In addition, this position will participate in the football program’s recruiting efforts, with an emphasis on prospective recruit evaluation.

The university fields 16 varsity teams (6 men's teams and 10 women's teams, a total of 351 student athletes), 14 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities
Organize scout cards and scripts for practice/walk-thru
Goal line study expert
Research and prepare scouting reports on opponents, including but not limited to depth chart, statistics, and analytics
Game day duties, including but not limited to play chart, analyzing and recording tendencies, and data input
Scout personnel for head coach
Advise on recruiting needs
Advise on how to upgrade at each position
Advise on needed position changes
Identify what is lacking in specific areas
Analytic responsibilities
Opponent: prepare and present statistical data on opponents as directed by Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator/Head Coach
Self-Scout: prepare and present statistical data regarding Vanderbilt offense and defense as directed by Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator/Head Coach
Game plan opponent breakdown & self-scout
Playbook assembly and distribution
Represent the interest and image of the head football coach, the organization and Vanderbilt University
Fully comply with NCAA, AFCA, and SEC ethics and procedures
Any additional items as assigned by the recruiting coordinators, director of football operations, or head football coach
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
A minimum of 1 year of experience is necessary.
Previous experience in Division I football is necessary.
