The Baseball Equipment Manager will be responsible for oversight of all equipment operations and laundry operations of the varsity baseball team, as well as supervision and maintenance of baseball’s laundry center and equipment room.

Profile of an Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to work longhours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel, Ability to maneuverequipment as required by the position, Valid US driver’s license.

  • Knowledge of personalcomputers and standard software applications. Good communication andorganizational skills.

  • Strong knowledge ofbaseball. Certified member of AEMA. Previous experience working with andmaintaining athletic equipment and facilities, arranging transportation ofequipment, and apparel and equipment inventory systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Hawkins Field laundry center, ensuringproper operation, upkeep,scheduling, and enhancementof washers and dryers.

  • Manage maintenance and upkeep

  • Manage day-to-day operations

  • Coordinate all enhancements in conjunction with the Associate Director of Equipment and the Head BaseballCoach. This includesrecommending proper upgrades, as well as working on theimplementation of all approvedprojects

  • Communicate with the janitorial staff to ensurecleanliness

  • Ensure laundry center useremains in compliance with department guidelines

  • Supervise Hawkins Field equipmentroom, ensuring proper operation, upkeep, scheduling, enhancements, andinventory

  • Manage equipment room maintenanceand upkeep

  • Manage day to day operations

  • Coordinate all enhancements in conjunction with the Associate Director of Equipment and the HeadBaseball Coach. This includesrecommending proper upgrades, as well as working on theimplementation of all approvedprojects

  • Communicate with the janitorial staff to ensurecleanliness

  • Ensure use of equipment room remains in compliance withdepartment guidelines

  • Oversee all baseball athlete, coach, and staff laundry needs

  • Oversee all day to day equipment operations for baseball team

  • Complywith department inventory practices and policies

  • Maintain use of digital inventory system

  • Issue all returnable apparel and equipment to baseball athletes, coaches, and staff

  • Provide accurate, periodic inventories of all disposable and returnable apparel and equipment in conjunction with NCAAand department regulations

  • Work with HeadBaseball Coach to orderall baseball apparel and equipment in accordance to department contractsand policies

  • Oversee on fieldset-up for practice sessions and game days

  • Oversee studentmanagers/coaches for adequate on field set-up of various activities, including practicesessions and game days

  • Ensure all baseballapparel and equipment is packed priorto and secured during team travel

  • Other duties as assignedby the Associate Directorof Athletics and Head BaseballCoach
