IT Business Analysis Intern (Job Number: 1900561)
The IT Business Analyst (BA) Intern will be responsible for gathering, defining, analyzing and documenting requirements specifically to the Summer 2019 Classroom Refresh project. The intern will assist the IT Project Manager (PM) in managing resources and schedules, facilitating requests, analyzing documents and maintaining system processes and procedures relative to the Summer 2019 Classroom Refresh project. In addition to the Summer 2019 Classroom Refresh project the intern will assist other IT PMs and IT BAs with various tasks for projects currently in the execution phase.
This position will be a part of the VUIT Project Management Office (PMO). The VUIT PMO is responsible for managing projects requiring VUIT resources while defining and maintaining standards for project management within VUIT.
Key Functions andExpected Performance:
Elicit,analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operationalrequirements
Assistwith performing assessments of the business needs
Coordinatethe activities of the solution teams to meet the business need
Assistwith interpreting business needs for technical teams
Withthe assistance of the IT PM and IT BA create and maintain project schedules bydeveloping project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources,monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phase of the project lifecycle,providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress andcoordinating actions to resolve issues
Workwith standard project (Planview Enterprise) and office tools
Identifyimprovement opportunities (proactive and reactive)

Necessaryexperience – Microsoft Office Suite experience, experience working with teams
Preferrededucation – Undergraduate Junior/Senior, Graduate student
