The Dining Services Worker is responsible for cleaning dishes and the kitchen area. Ideal candidates will have experience washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans using a commercial dishwasher or by hand when needed in a food service operations. The pay rate for this position is 12.50/HR. Flexible schedule is desired.

Dutiesand Responsibilities

  • Set up dish machine, fill dish machine tanks inpreparation for washing dishes

  • Clean off dirty trays and dishes, stack in preparationof r sending through dish machine

  • Place dirty dishes, trays and silverware on dishmachine conveyor belt for washing

  • Remove clean dishes from dish machine – stack properlyon dish cart

  • Transport clean dishes to platforms/stations foruse. Place dishes under the counter in their assigned location.

  • Set-up garbage cans to receive trash; when garbage isfull remove it from the garbage can and take it to the outside garbagecompactor.

  • Keep garbage area clean and sanitary. Pick trashup off floor and mop when wet.

  • Clean assigned areas to include, but not limited to:dish machines interior and exterior, all work counters and tables, walk incoolers, beverage machines, deep fryers, griddles, ovens, and sinks.

  • Sweep, mop, strip, wax and buff tile floors

  • Vacuum carpets in dining rooms

  • Wash walls, doors and windows

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down specific areasfor special events – moving tables chairs and assisting with tablesettings

  • Wash pots and pans in the three compartment sink.Set-up three compartment sink in accordance with health code standards.

  • Clean and maintain dining room tables and floors, keepingthem free of trash, dishes and debris. Clean table tops with a towelusing mild soap and water solution.

  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and cleanequipment.

  • In the dining room area keep the condiment area andbeverage stations cleaned and replenished.

  • Assist with receiving/stock of orders.

  • Assist with inventory and record items that need to beordered.

  • Use FIFO method of inventory (first in, first out)


  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. regularly

  • Ability to bend, stoop and kneel while stocking shelves
