Vanderbilt University Community Service Officer in Nashville, Tennessee

The Vanderbilt University Public Safety (VUPS) Department comes under the charge of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for the Division of Administration. As one of Tennessee's larger law enforcement agencies, the Police Department provides comprehensive law enforcement and security services to all components of Vanderbilt University including the Vanderbilt University Campus, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Vanderbilt Health at One Hundred Oaks, and a variety of University-owned facilities throughout the Davidson County area.

The Vanderbilt Public Safety department operates 24/7. This is a full-time position with occasional overtime required. Applicants must be able to work any two out of three shifts so that adequate staffing can be maintained. The compensation for this role is $15.00/hr.

Qualifications - External

  • Must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License or actively be in the process of obtaining one

  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
