We have 2 main dining centers, 7 retail locations and 3 specialty dining venues, and we employ over 260 employees. The pay rate for Cashier is $13.00/hr. Flexible schedule is desired.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greet customers entering the dining locations.
Assist customers with questions and provide accurateinformation on the Vanderbilt dining meal plan.
Operate a Micros register and follow micros handbook.
Issue a receipt to all dining services employeeswhether using cash or commodore card for payment.
Assist with preparing foods such as vegetables, fruits,salads, and to-go items.
Prepare bulk items such as tossed salad, vegetables ofall kinds and dressings for the salad bar
Maintain and stock all beverage stations.
Provide quality beverages consistently for allcustomers by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards.
Transport food to appropriate location for storage andrefrigeration
Assists culinary staff as directed
Maintain temperature logs and take temperatures of foodregularly and record data as instructed by management.
Adhere to Vanderbilt Dining cash handling and depositprocedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Work in a team-driven environment, take direction,offer direction and assist with problem-solving.
Greet customers entering dining location and followFRESH customer service guidelines.
