Business Intelligence Developer (Job Number: 1900565)

Description

Develops and modifies Business Intelligence solutions under occasional guidance. Designs data models used for reporting and analytics, develops ETL processes for data, and utilizes BI tools to satisfy end user data needs. Implements small projects or components of large projects. Ability to solve medium to complex problems.

Collaborative, open team room work space environment. Expected to be an individual contributor while working collaboratively with team members, manager and other internal resources.

Duties and responsibilities

Business Intelligence Tools:

  • Hassuccessfully used the tool in situations of medium complexity. Occasionallyneeds assistance from internal technical support in usage of the tool. May havesuccessfully completed in-depth training in core components of the skill. Ableto install and upgrade the tool.

Data Marts:

  • Hassuccessfully applied the skill in situations of medium complexity. Occasionallyneeds assistance from internal technical support in its application, operationor practice. May have successfully completed in-depth training in corecomponents of the skill.

Data Warehousing:

  • Demonstratesan understanding of design concepts, data organization, capabilities andlimitations. Worked with corporate, as well as local, data warehouse models.Has used at least one of the state-of-the-art data warehouse packages availablein practical application of moderate difficulty.

ETL/ETT/ETM Tools and Process:

  • Usesone or more ETL/ETT/ETM tools and utilities to accomplish appropriate datawarehouse tasks under the direction of other team members. Has participated inthe process of extracting data from simple operational data sources or externaldata sources, transforming basic data which includes cleansing, aggregation,summarization, integration, as well as basic transformation, and loading thedata into some form of the data warehouse. Has experience with at least onetype of data warehouse such as ODS, enterprise data warehouse, data mart.Capable of applying new software features in one or more ETL/ETT/ETM tools orutilities.

Profile ofan Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’sdegree required

  • 2Years of experience is necessary

  • SQL,PL/SQL experience in Oracle Data Warehouses preferred

  • ETL tools experience, such as OracleData Integrator, IBM DataStage preferred

  • BI Tool experience with OracleBusiness Intelligence preferred
